  1. Does anyone know of good, affordable non-ballpoints pens that would fit in the Malden pen loop other than the Frixion Slim? I do use the Frixion 0.7mm at home, but I may have to just buy the slim so I can have some pen in the pen loop. I also hook my fountain pen in the back, but I'd like one in the loop too. Any other tricks to stick the pens in there? Thanks!

    1. Pilot Juice, Pilot V-ball, Papermate Flair, Staedtler tri-plus Fineliner, Le Lens, The Write Bros. these are just a few that I use. Alternatively, you can use a leather moisturizer and stretch the pen loop. I think Kent from Oz has a video or blog post about it.

    2. Buy a 0.5mm Pilot Frixion pen and put the 0.7mm insert in it. As shown here: http://youtu.be/w8X7y3cYG9Y

The 0.5 are slimmer than the 0.7 and fit the pen loop on a Malden. I've done this 'conversion' on most of mine.

    3. For a fountain pen, maybe a Pilot Cavalier, or a Reform 1917?

    4. Thanks everyone!
Lori - I have been looking at the Fineliner and good to know it'll be a good fit.
Steve - Yes, I think this is the most likely scenario since I use the Frixion for a lot of the appointments, contacts, etc.
Shadow Wolf - Great! I am always looking for fountain pens.

  2. About 2 or 3 months ago, someone had a blog up with his/her Filofax and a bunch of Martha Stewart Notetabs. Does anyone remember which blog that was? Maybe it is your blog if you are reading this. I just wanted to see how the Martha Stewart Notetabs looked in the binder.

  5. I'm new to filofax. Just bought my first (an a5 original in Patent Purple) about 3 weeks ago. Now I'm addicted, of course. But I know it's a bad time of year to get addicted because I'm assuming it's transition time since so much is out of stock. When do they typically release new products or restock things?

  7. Anxiously awaiting first glimpse of the royal baby. I remember Prince William's debut as if it happened yesterday. Leave it to a cheeky American to work this into the Philofaxy blog and yes, this event is in my Filofax, both the due date and actual birthdate. Don't judge me :-))

Does anyone here use/have a favorite personal sized lined diary insert other than the Filofax one? Looking at options for 2014. I'm liking those Gillio inserts but would like to hear about others.

  8. Does anyone know where I can get calenadar stickers to fit my personal size filofaxes? I know Dodo pad has them but I can't seem to locate them in the US. I find the Flylady stickers too big and the Filofax stickers too boring. Any ideas where I might find small (~12mmx12mm)?
    Thank you,
    Vicki

    1. Thank you for responding to my post. That wasn't the blog I was referring to, but I appreciate your trying to help. As far as the stickers, try avery.com. You can make your own stickers with Avery. Also, try amazon.com for the Dodo pad stickers. The Container Store also sells calendar stickers.

  10. I have a personal Tecnic; does anyone know anything about this model, such as when and where it was produced?

I can't seem to find much information about it online. I thought it might be a knockoff so I took it to a retailer who confirmed that it is a genuine Filofax.
