For your enjoyment/amusement...

  1. It's an interesting idea, but I prefer to keep my plastic and cash separate from any other personally identifiable items like diaries, contacts listings, and suchlike, in case one or other is lost or stolen; feels safer that way. More items to carry of course, but it's personal choice, I guess. Nice vid though, thanks for sharing :-)

  2. I use my pocket Kendal just as a wallet, no diary. The front slip pocket holds a small plastic purse, bought in Sainsbury's for my money off coupons, the front credit card holders hold, well... credit cards then I have 3 zipped wallets, 1 for store loyalty cards, No2 for coffee and sandwich shop loyalty cards, No3 for restaurant cards I know to be good eateries locally, for the rare occasions I need to phone to book up a meal, and No4 for often used business cards, eg window cleaner, hairdresser and GP surgery. The back zip pocket is generous and hold coins easily, the outer pocket I use for receipts to be checked off my bank statement and for my lottery ticket when I occasionally buy one, although at £2 now that is a rarer event!!! I keep notepaper and a pen for shopping lists and have a separate Filofax either slimline personal or pocket as a on the go diary and address book combined, with stamps in the front, so cards can be posted straight away. I choose which one to go with at the beginning of the year, but a change sometimes is a good idea. xx

  3. Last weekend I took my new pocket malden out on it's first try as a wallet. I think it worked very well. I have a notepad in the back but I don't have a passport or drivers license to bulk it out so I still have plenty of room for cash and loyalty cards, on-the-go diary and a few phone numbers. Paper money and a printout of an online order I made to pick up in-store went into the back wallet pocket easily. I can see me staying with this setup.

  4. Thank you Steve for making this video! I enjoyed it! I carry my passport in my personal Malden too, and I want to move to my pocket Malden for the summer. But have you used in the pocket ff only calendar pages? Only calendar/planning pages are not enough for me, I use also projects/notes pages and contacts pages. And I think, if I put every page in the pocket, it will be enormously fat!

  5. I'm trying to use my personal size planner as a wallet, too.
The only issue I'm having is that I can't figure out where to put my checkbook...
Still carrying it separately right now, and it's annoying because the transaction register is in the planner already. Has anyone else figured out an easy way to solve this?
I'm searching for a Filofax Checkbook holder, but haven't had any success.

  6. I love my Personal Malden diary/planner, but I do not like the Pocket Malden for a wallet. The coin pocket is too small for me and there is no place to keep dollar bills flat. I use a Pocket Chameleon and it is perfect for me. There is a large zipped coin pocket on the inside right. On the left I keep my most used credit cards, gift cards and ids. I also tuck my passport in the left hand side. In the huge back pocket I keep my dollar bills and receipts. Then I have lost of credit card sleeves (two cards go on each side of each page) filled with the rest of my id cards, coupon/gift cards, medical/dental cards, voting card, etc. All my money stuff is in one place and I love it. I do not use this wallet for anything else, and I do not keep any pages in it. I use my Personal Malden as my planner. Try the Pocket Chameleon as a wallet and let me know what you think.

  7. I use my personal Malden as a planner with DIY Fish inserts. I use my pocket Malden as a wallet in my purse. For the pocket I keep MO2P just to keep appointments and the A to Z tabs for phone numbers, store lists and as a filing cabinet for reference things. I keep a small notebook in the back for a running grocery list. In the front pockets I keep some change in the zip pocket, 2 ID's behind the zip pocket and 2 credit cards in each of the other 2 pockets. I stand the cards up for easier access and you can see which card you are pulling out. Bills and receipts go in the back pocket. I tried using the personal Malden as a wallet but it was too bulky for my hands when I pulled it out at the store to pay. I also tried using the pocket as a complete planner but I wanted to plan and track more things. So far the two planner system is working.
