Free For All Friday No 336 by Laurie

Do you have an "on deck" binder? Maybe you should. Here's what I mean:

I like to have a binder for my upcoming diary pages that are waiting to go into my daily use binder. When these pages are in a binder, instead of in a storage container or envelope, I can easily flip through them to fill in future dates. Then when it's time for those pages to go into my daily use binder, they are already filled in and ready to go.

(To those of you who needed a gentle enabling nudge to buy another binder: you're welcome. ;)  )

And as always on Fridays, feel free to discuss anything ring-binder related!

  1. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the TMinternational user manual? Would like to understand the project and task management ideas for my FF

    Thanks

  3. http://shop.timemanager.com/shop/uk/time-manager-the-998p.html

Price is £25. (There have been offers on here to scan their copy for free, but as the work is a current copyright publication still in print and available to buy, personally, I don't feel that is right).

  4. Only about 1 in 4 of the comments I try to make show up. Does anyone else have this problem?

    1. Make sure you are logged in. So that Reply As is showing your log in name. And ensure you click Publish not Sign Out. They swapped the position of these around which didn't help!

  6. I store my FC inserts (future & past) in one of their storage binders if I need them, but I never write anything for the future in there as I keep all of my monthly pages in my binder. I could see it happening if a person did not have big enough rings to hold all their months though.

  7. My Kate Spade binder has that task because my arthritic hands can't handle the ring's tab mechanism -- another reason I stick with FC. It now has a title. On Deck. I like this.
With 19 binders, granted different sizes, can't use that excuse. Ughhh.

  8. On deck! So that's what it's called. I've been doing this for a while now, especially in summer as I prepare for the new school year. I'm glad it has a name!

  9. I probably need another Franklin pocket binder to archive pages but I have not bought one. I keep eight months of my insert in my binder along with my full set of month dividers. So far the laminated tabs are secure on the back of the dividers after about one month. I am glad that I cut the dividers because then I can use them for several years. Last year I placed the same month tabs on the calendar pages with clear address labels. The labels peeled the paper when I removed the tabs. My idea to use the clear labels was not a good one. Anyway this year I have forgone the month calendar with boxes.
