I recently bought a Montblanc personal sized planner and the rings are not of very good quality (the paper keeps catching on them). I wish to change them at some point but i have no idea what brand they are and on top of that, they are wrapped in leather which means i cannot simply remove the metal plate to see. Does anyone have any informationTheinkrediblejohnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01074701641647583442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18497333.post-9486632353301746462017-02-17T16:01:12.238-05:002017-02-17T16:01:12.238-05:00Yikes, well, the person who hand made the planner ...Yikes, well, the person who hand made the planner I have is trying to find a way to NOT buy a thousand, lol, but more than one at a time. A quick read of your article and the judicious application of a small screwdriver has it apart and the problem solved. It may be old and scarred but the thought of having to replace it was not a good one!!
Many thanks
UberskunkAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05692387195130314397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18497333.post-61264584017756489792016-02-19T23:52:57.262-05:002016-02-19T23:52:57.262-05:00Steve

I just purchased a A5 Gigliodoro Divino with 25mm rings and am searching for 35mm replacements (6 rings is what I have and it works well...but I wish I could find a 3 ring mechanism). Apparently Krause has since changed their ring backplate design so now there are 3 tabs instead of just 2. I'm in the US and not sure where I can find the older design rings. The stress of that weight loosens the clipping mechanism and the rings start shifting up and down on the backplate.Alan Marshallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12163255067102493914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18497333.post-51736460513673867852015-02-04T06:02:44.124-05:002015-02-04T06:02:44.124-05:00Good article, Steve. Could that be due to its back wallet pocket design?Nancy Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04649794444993795527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18497333.post-84104987876756351762015-02-04T06:00:51.158-05:002015-02-04T06:00:51.158-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Nancy Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04649794444993795527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18497333.post-32255403572199455262015-02-04T03:18:30.859-05:002015-02-04T03:18:30.859-05:00Fascinating post! I wonder who came up with the idea and how they calculated how "springy" the metal needed to be?Tim Edwardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04320789185450598620noreply@blogger.com
