I realized recently that I have multiple versions of the same binder. For example I have:
Finsbury binders in Personal size in purple, pink and aqua, and in A5 size in purple and emerald.
Domino binders in Personal and A5 size.
Kendal in Personal and A5. I love the feel of the oiled leather, and the rugged good looks just get better with wear!
I have A5 Boston binders in black (for when I need to look really professional) and purple (for daily use).
I have Holborn binders in A5 (brown) and Personal zipped (wine).
Chameleon binders in Personal (aqua) and Compact (raspberry).
Wow! I didn't even realize how many multiples I had until I really thought about it.
Do you have multiples of the same binder?
And as always on Fridays, feel free to discuss anything ring-binder related!
Hi Laurie. Yep, guilty! Gillio Compagna medium - two brown, one brown crocco, and a gold. Pocket, personal and A5 Kendals. Medium Gillio Mia Cara's - one in brown and one gold. Two VDS standard in light brown and brandy. A5 and personal Maldens in Ochre. Pocket and personal pink Domino. I might just stop there, it is starting to look like I am obsessed and hopeless at making decisions about what I want...
ReplyDeleteA5 & Personal Maldens in purple
ReplyDeletePersonal (brown) and Compact (wine) Holburns
Personal and Pocket Vintage Jacks
Plus a bunch of singletons...
Oh dear

Laurie has been peeking into my 'cupboard'... guilty as charged.... Malden, Holborn, Gillio Mia Cara, to name a few...
ReplyDeleteSteve I have to admit as I was writing this post I wondered how many multiples you have!
DeleteI have a spreadsheet... I'm not sure if it is up to date though... I need to check when I get a moment and do a 'stock take' on the cupboard.
DeleteI keep threatening to do a video of the contents of the 'the cupboard' but to do that I will have to take off the doors because the lighting will not be so good.
It did get a tidy up/sort out over Christmas and I did check through some of the boxes.
To add to my sins... I even have a couple of organiser models in the same size and colour that are the same.
ReplyDeleteNo! Say it isn't so!
DeleteI have two identical brown Holborn Slimlines - but the unused one is keot for when the other wears out! As well as the Slimlines I also have Holborns in A5 (brown), Personal (grey) and Pocket (grey).
DeleteHave multiples of same model/color binders, but each is a different size.
ReplyDelete;-)
I do not have a binder in different sizes or colors but I thought of buying two exact binders. I am glad that I did not purchase the extra one because I want to switch to a smaller pocket binder than my Franklin pocket one. I would leave the Franklin binder on the desk and take the more petite one with me. My week insert that I designed will not fit in the smaller one and I am not interested in copying information. I will probably keep my insert in a folder and place the folder in the smaller binder. I know that it will be inconvenient finding the pages in a folder.
ReplyDeleteAs I normally try to keep a smaller number of binders, I've found that I prefer to not have multiples of the same model. For example, when my main planner was the crimson Malden, I found that despite loving the ochre A5 I wanted something else for a bit of variety. However, I think that if I had a larger collection I would probably have favourite models in different colours & sizes.
ReplyDeleteGuilty as charged:
ReplyDelete3 Winchesters, Vintage dual Balmoral, 3 Maldens,
Then A5 Mia, Personal Mia, A5 Compagna, And a couple of Gigliodoros!
Let's see:
ReplyDeleteMaldens: A5 (vintage pink), Personal (crimson), 2 Minis (vintage pink + grey)
Kensingtons: Deskfax (black), Personal (burgondy), Pocket & Mini (both in black)
Cavendish: Personal & Mini (both in black)
.. plus some more to follow later ;-)
Nope, I am seemingly the only person here with a modicum of self-restraint ;-)
ReplyDeleteI have a mere 5 Planners, and not one of them is a duplicate.
