My Filofax system might seem complicated to someone looking at it, but for me it simplifies my life to have so much information in one place: bills due, birthdays, reference information, holidays, information on my family members, home and car maintenance schedules, and of course my Philofaxy Free For All Friday schedules!
What are some aspects of your Filofax system that might seem complicated to someone else but help make your life easier?
And as always on Fridays, feel free to ask and/or discuss anything Filofax organiser related!
After 25+ years my Rapesco A5 six hole punch is finally giving up the ghost. Can someone recommend a replacement? Either that or a source and method for replacing the springs and sharpening the blades.
ReplyDeleteSilly question what country are you in?
DeleteI'm in the UK
DeleteI would go for this one: https://amzn.to/4uIaBkI They are a well known brand.
DeleteIn my case it's most probably my short form cryptic notes for appointments and tasks! But they make sense to me!!
ReplyDeleteArticle suggestion: alternatives to discontinued Filofaxes. I'm not sure if this has been discussed before. I'm one of those who love using the personal slimline. I prefer using an open-style, slim binder as my everyday carry Filofax. I still have my old, trusty, and reliable Metropol slimline. I sometimes use a traveler's notebook or an extra slim mini or extra slim pocket organizer. But to me, if Filofax releases a slimline or compact soft Domino in coffee colour then that would be close to perfect. I've found possible alternatives to the slimline (ex. Plotter, MeePlus) but they're priced like luxury items. I'm looking for something not too pricey but well made. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteFor slim/compact models, you have to check the Japanese market.
DeleteRaymay Fuji has a wide range starting with PU leather, Brelio has high quality affordable leather.
You take a look at som models in my Slim Bible guest post. But there are also lots of Mini-5 and Pocket models, as well as A5 16mm models.
Even the Japanese zippered models are more compact, because they usually sew in the zipper the other way round (bulging outwards), so there is no protruding rim.

Not coffee coloured, but very cheap. Simple, slim, with nice template
