    The sun is starting to shift position in the sky, and the sun setting earlier is just barely noticeable. It's still 90 degrees outside and is predicted to be hot for all of September! I am ready for the hot weather to end.

    The sun is setting earlier here, too, and the moon is getting bigger and brighter. In the U.S. and Canada, Monday is the Labor Day holiday, and this weekend is the symbolic last weekend of summer.

    But summer doesn't really end until the autumnal equinox, 9/22/09. Says so right in my Filofax.

    So, how do you know when the autumnal equinox is? Here's a good website I found: http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/september-equinox.html
