Hi! Which personal sized Filofax has the biggest rings/can hold the most stuff? I am a long-time Franklin Covey Planner user drooling over personal-sized Filofaxes... and the answer to this question will help me decide which one to get. I have a lot of stuff to keep in my planner and I'd hate to buy one and then not have all my stuff fit in!
Thank you for your replies! My current planner has 1.5-inch rings. And it's pretty full. But part of that is because I recycled old monthly tabs by gluing a thick piece of scrapbooking paper on each side, and then decorating them. So the tabs are really 3 thick pages wide!! When I do move into a Filofax, I am going to make new tabs that will only be a single page.
Janis... Not sure about the ring size, but I believe that on this forum there is a file up the top of the page under Files that lists the different types of filfoaxes and ring sizes. Alternatively, if you are on Facebook we have a VERY large presence on there also. Look up Philofaxy in the Facebook search engine. There are two related groups with access to alot of experienced people with Filofaxes and other planners :) Goodluck
Thanks Rebecca! I did check out the page up above, but kinda skipped over the ring size because it's in mm and not inches, so I'll have to do a little converting to inches to get my brain to comprehend the ring sizes LOL! I didn't look on FB for a group, so I'm going to do that next. Thanks so much for letting me know about them! I was up late last night looking at the Metropols, Finchleys and Maldens. They are all so pretty, it's hard to make a decision. I know I'm going to end up being like the people who own a whole bookshelf full of Filofaxy planners! Hahahaha! :)
Steve - I didn't even know there was a philofaxy readers list - I subscribed but can't tell if I'm on it?? Do I add myself or do you have to do it? Tracy
Hi,has anyone ever replaced the press stud fasteners? My personal chameleon has broken with the female part coming off and subsequently lost. I don't want to retire the file, I want to fix it but not sure how.I can't find the right size studs so want advice/alternatives. It's driving me mad!I love my filofax. Thanks
Is the part that has come off on the clasp or on the binder itself? The male and female parts aren't always on the same part of the binder they differ on different models.
I sent to to Filofax in the end to assess. It couldn't be fixed but they sent me a replacement. So happy as didn't think they would be able to as it's the aqua one.yay!

DeleteI think the Cuban zip has the largest in current models. It has 30m rings. Not sure about older ones.
ReplyDeleteEveryone, if you are on Twitter, could you post your username here so I can follow you please?
ReplyDeleteA good starting point is this list:

Excellent.
DeleteMight have known there was an organised way of doing this!
Just updated the list for the first time in ages...

DeleteThank you.
DeleteHow do I get on the list? Do I have to join or do you have to add me?
I would have added you. It's not automatic, I have to run through our list of followers and added them individually... hence I don't do it that often!
