  1. I have purchased several used filofaxes in the last few weeks: Pocket Aston, Compact Regency, A5 Chameleon. On which of these should I treat the leather, and how? Is there a trick to preventing light spots on the Chameleon?

  2. For those that use daily pages, how many weeks worth do you keep in your binder?

    1. When I was using daily pages I also kept a month.

    2. 2pp/day, one month at a time in my FC Classic size binder. FC recommends three months (Previous, current, next) but that was taking up way too much space in my binder so now one month seems to be plenty.

    3. When I was at university I included the 3 months of the current term! :)

    4. I keep one week's worth of two-pages-per-day plus a full year's worth of week-on-two-pages. At the weekend I archive the week ending and insert the upcoming week. When I do this, I note significant events onto the weekly pages for the week ending so I can see when things happened/were done, and transfer all appointments and tasks from the coming week's weekly pages to the new daily pages. This way I have the space of the daily pages for precise time/task management and the overview of the weeks. This system is a little maintenance-heavy but has been working extremely well for me. I find it a refreshing change to not have a huge pile of daily pages to flip through all the time to find things.

  3. I keep a month in my filofax, but with my FC which had 1.5" rings I kept 3. Some people only keeep a weeks worth. Try smaller amount and if you find you keep lookung ahead to write something down then you know you need more.

  4. Does anyone have any Filofax templates in PSD format that they are willing to share? If not, could anyone please tell me what height and width I should use in Photoshop to create my own inserts and dividers for Personal-sized and A5-sized Filofaxes? Thank you in advance! (^_^)

  5. This is my first time commenting on the Philofaxy site but I've seen how helpful all you guys can be and thought it was worth a shot.

I have the opportunity to get a pretty decent discount on a Malden at the moment (thank you staff discount!) and having lusted after it for a while I'm still unsure of whether or not I should take the leap and get one!
The thing is, I don't know what I would do with it and it seems like a real shame to let it just sit there. I already have a Personal Domino for day to day use, a Compact Finsbury for tracking finances and a stay at home A5 Original.

But they're so pretty.... any ideas what I could use one for to justify getting one?

    Thanks in advance guys!

    1. There are tonnes of things you could use it for! Your projects, hobbies, journal, things you are learning (if you have hobbies like that), even an art journal!! There's lots more purposes that I can't think of now! What size are you thinking of getting?

    2. I'm having the age old personal vs A5 debate at the moment. I have to say I'm sorely tempted by the A5 as I'm heading to uni in September and use it as a day to day planner to keep track of assignments and notes etc, and use my Domino for a book journal/ general journal. But then again, do I want to carry an A5 round all day with me!?

  6. I'm VERY new to the Filofax addiction, I have an Original Fluoro Pink A5 and Purple Malden A5 en route to me now. ;-D I'm considering getting a pocket filofax as well, but it has to be able to hold my iPhone. Can you suggest the pocket styles that would accommodate an iphone inside? I already have the Malden on my list. :D You guys are awesome!

    1. I faintly recall that filofax made a version of the Hamilton which could hold a PDA. I do not recall anything else other than the personal size Fusion and Original which seem to be designed to hold a phone. While an iphone will likely fit inside a pocket binder I would be concerned about it sliding out due to the lack of any type of pocket to hold it. Good luck! Hope you enjoy the A5s you have coming!

  7. I use an A5 as my main folder, and a matching personal for tasks..... GTD. xxxx

  8. Today was quite eventful at work: I confessed about my Filofax obsession, spent 10 minutes researching posh personal organisers online, and managed to find out which Filofax my boss has. It's a personal black Kensington. She's retiring and we're looking for a present for her, so I told my colleagues I know all about Filofaxes and looked some up online! We thought of getting her one from Aspinal or L'Agenda Moderne, but alas they were too expensive! But it was fun :)

  9. I have two questions, I hope that is ok.

First, can anyone recommend somewhere I could get some notepaper that would fit a mini? I am going to use it as a purse so I don't need a diary but I would like some pretty paper for making notes. I would like to buy it ready made, rather than print my own. any etsy recommendations?

Secondly, I have a Scanda personal that I use everyday. The leather has a deliberately weathered look, but I was wondering how to look after it. It is quite dry and I wouldn't want it to get damaged.

    Thanks!
