Free For All Tuesday No. 188

Tuesdays are your chance to ask any Filofax related questions you might have.

Even if it is not Tuesday, you can still post your questions here, just pick the most recent FFAT or FFAF.

So fire away and we will collectively try to answer your questions or offer opinions.

  1. Hi there, has anyone seen the FF Clipbook promo video and if so do you know how they managed to print their front cover images (as see at the end of the video)?

I've taken mine apart and I don't know whether you need to put it in the printer or am I being silly?

Or did they sketch/paint the image. I am hoping to print a cool front cover image :-(

Any advice would be appreciate. Thanks!

  2. Hi!
I have a question for the teachers in the community: how do you combine work and private life planners/diaries. Do you have separate planners or not. I am using an A5 for work but it is too bulky to carry it everywhere and without my planner with me at all times I feel.... er I am sure you know what I mean. Thank you

  3. I'm in the middle of re-organising my planners to work together, a portable one and a house bound one, yet to be sorted. I have an old Bridge personal size which luckily takes original size Time Manager forms (luckily because I bought hundreds for a song on eBay a few years ago, old plain ones dated 1983 and late 80s ones with the dark coloured borders).

I like the older plainer inserts best, and the folding ones eg undated week plan are very versatile. The front of the fold is plain and encourages me to make a sketch a day; the fold-back has the weekdays and the inside is a double spread lined page. For very busy days when more space is required, undated daily plans can be tucked inside the fold.

Do you have any plans to design TMI sized templates or can I stretch your Filofax personal sized ones widthways? I don't know how much call there would be for this size, they seem to be of a more business type system so perhaps they come with the job.

PS On page 26 in yesterday's Filofax Catalogue 2005-6 is my denim Filofax, a great pair with my Rowney zip up art portfolio.

    1. Hi Kath

I have a huge stack of original size TMI inserts I'm looking to re-home, many of them in the new colour-coded style, but quite a few in the older, plainer style. If you're interested, drop me a line at davidcpopely (at) gmail (dot) com

I don't know if it's relevant but I also have a beautiful black leather original size TMI binder with dividers and an additional vinyl binder I'm looking to re-home.

  4. Hi

I've recently got my first filofax, in A5 size. I am considering how to store old notes, and wondered if anyone has any ideas? I had thought about transferring them into a standard A5 lever arch file, but this would mean holepunching again and my pages ending up like holey swiss cheese!

    Thanks

    Holly

  5. As the Martha Stewart tear drops are discontinued here in the UK does anyone use other things to replace them, which are just as good. Also, they are re-usable, but for how many times, before they don't re- stick?? Just have got a system going which I may have to re-think. Thanks folks. xx

  6. Still loving my Hamilton pocket and I purchased an A5 Holborn Zip over the weekend. ETA is Thursday and I've already named her Hazel. Any and all comments on the Holborn model would be appreciated.
