  1. Can anyone update the current Filofax circumstances? I haven't seen much in the way of 'new' from them and Van Der Spek seems to be the new craze.

    1. Where do you live? I live in New York City and there doesn't seem to be a really good place with a really good selection to buy planners. In fact, a good place that had a decent selection where the NY group has met up previously went out of business. I don't know of any place in the USA that sells Gillio or Van Der Spek planners.

  2. Hi - I just purchased an A5 finsbury on eBay. I love it but one thing drives me nuts--when I close the Filofax, the last 20 pages or so get stuck in the binding. To avoid this I have to pull on the pages before I close it so they don't stick in the binding. Is this issue normal? I can send pics if that will help. Hope that makes sense. Thank you!!

    1. I'm not sure, but it sounds like you might need a page lifter?
Joshua LaPorte has a video on his channel, the video is called "Timesystem page lifters in my Van der Spek binder". Perhaps it will help you?

  3. Hello planner family: I've noticed some of my Originals are softer that others. Does it mean previous owners did treat the leather somehow? Is there any conditioner for Originals you'd recommend me? Thanks you.

    1. I guess it may just be natural variability.
However, the leather of the old models that inspired the Originals range would have been quite hard and durable, so if authenticity is a factor then you might do better leaving them unconditioned anyway.

  6. I have been using Filofax personal size since my first trip to England in 1983. I just purchased my first Domino in Cornflower (beautiful!) and as I was transferring from my old Finsbury, the domino lining started to peel, and the edges of the pen loop were disintegrating to dust! I don't mind a little peeling, as it gives "character" but if it progresses it could affect function. Is there a way to stop the progression? Should I give up and return it? Thanks for your help. BTW, I LOVE this site. Deb
