  1. Thanks Steve and Ray for the 2 days to a page printable. Such a great resource and much appreciated.

  2. Is there any news from Filofax? New models? inserts? directions? It seems they've settled into mostly Originals and pulled operations right back, or am I wrong? Perhaps this is the reason that VDS is becoming so popular, responding to that demand for quality and versatility. It would be sad to see Filofax miss the boat.

    1. I notice that the official blog had a post yesterday - only the second time this year.

    2. Oh dear. It seems they've gone back to a fashion focus for their PR methods.

  3. How do people use their monthly pages? I'm struggling to find a way to use my month on one page in my pocket gillio effectively.

    1. I use monthly pages to give an overview of fixed dates and events: birthdays, holidays, deadlines, bills due etc. I keep the finer details in my weekly pages.

    2. The monthly pages serve as my month at a glance. I keep track of my dog's heartworm/flea medication, release dates for books I want to read (very handy for books in fantasy fiction series), album release dates for bands I particularly like, appointments, days off/holidays/vacations/school breaks, and special events. While I do schedule some of those things on the weekly pages, the monthly pages are handy for not double booking appointments, etc. I am a little on the forgetful side.

    3. Wanted to add that I have considered doing without them several times. Once I even took them out. I was at a loss. While they may not be for everyone, I find them very useful.

    4. I use my month page which has one line for each day for some spending. I drew columns for type of payment and the amount. Keeping this information in a portable binder is not ideal if one is concerned about others viewing spending habits. I obscured names and details. On the week pages I note routine tasks with a stencil that has a row of small circles. I shade the circles with different colors for tasks. It eliminates the need for writing out the tasks repeatedly. Previously I was writing the tasks on the month page but now I prefer this way. I also use a month calendar on a device for other information.

    5. I use the monthly pages to write down important things like work hours, if I visited someone, parties, milestones... I write it down after it has happened, and when the year is over, I just keep the monthly pages, not the weekly.

  4. Is the space between holes one and two equidistant on the Filofax personal, and pocket binders?
