  1. I'd be interested to hear people's views on the six core values listed on the Filofax UK web site (under "Heritage"):

    Working with reputable suppliers
    Quality control
    Employee voice
    Charitable causes
    Customer service
    Being environmentally responsible

    Is the company meeting these?
    What would you add/remove/change?

    1. I have a few Filofax binders and they are fine with perfect rings. A few years ago I experienced great customer service in in the U.S. and other countries. It seems that they have manufactured more non leather products to appeal to those in the market. I have noticed changes on some inserts. I prefer the black ink. As in previous discussions insert design and paper quality are important.

  2. They need to look up the meaning of "quality control." When they go back to quality leather (i.e. Winchester or some of the Italian leathers of which I have a few) then I may consider them again. Also, if they were really on the cutting edge, they would be doing an A6 with Krause rings and all. I have to laugh at their "quality control". Obviously they don't want to make it too good, just cheap.

  3. Yes I did raise an eyebrow upon reading the Quality control one.
And the supporting text for Customer service emphasises the importance of listening to customer opinion, which I don't feel is one of their strong points either.

    1. Can't remember the last time Filofax listened to customer opinion. If they had any interest in customer opinion you'd be able to get a decent range of proper planning tools rather than 'just binders' and minimal insert choice, still directed at 'Fashion conscious people who like to make notes' (Helena Bloomer, I hope you're listening.

Appalling. I won't ever buy another new FF binder.

    2. Yes I remember the open letter David. I'm guessing it sadly fell on deaf ears.

    1. Carnaby is listed in the catalogue for 1999. (See the link at the top of this page.)
There is a violet colour shown.
