  1. Silly questions really, but just can't decide what to do. Home made dividers. Laminate them or leave as cardstock? Also just this year's diary in the planner or add in 2019 too now we're just over half way through 2018? What are you doing??

    1. Personally, I use thin plastic as laminating card can make them overly thick. Filofax Time Management dividers were always plastic and just laminating the tabs (as their card dividers are) always seems a poor compromise.

    2. Tim, I agree, laminating card does make for an overly thick divider and the Filofax just laminate the tabs idea is a cheap looking deal. I'll investigate thin plastic. Thanks so much. xx

    3. I've made dividers from some heavy smooth paper that has some nice retro images printed on them on one side and an image of a texture on other. Then I cut out profile on one edge to make a tab on each divider.

Then I use some small stick-on letters (black rectangle with a white letter printed on it...) to make a tab label. To protect the letters and reinforce tab, I cut a piece of clear wide shipping tape and wrap it over the tab on both sides. Has worked well and is plenty sturdy.

  2. I don't have an opinion about the dividers but I don't put next year's pages in until December because otherwise it just gets too heavy! I use a personal size week on two pages and around October/November time I start writing appointments for the following year on the notes pages at the back of the current year. Then at Christmas I have a massive session filling in all of the birthdays, anniversaries etc and appointments I've gathered. I really enjoy that actually as it marks the start of the New Year, a bit like starting a new school year!
