  1. I believe that it was a crime for troops to keep diaries during WW2? And yet Ff had a military version back then. Seems odd or have I got it all wrong?

  2. Filofax was much less diary focussed then. It was designed to be a “file of facts”. Military leaves (which continued to be available until the 1980s. were all about soldier/ platoon records, names, training, qualifications etc. They weren’t designed to be used as a journal, detailing battles and military engagements.   3. Many thanks Tim. I recall my dad had a pocket sized ring bound notebook as an R.N. Petty officer around 1943 when I was 4 years old!

    1. If it was a Filofax it would have been what we now call “Personal” size. Pocket size was only launched on 1989.

  5. Does any one else ever want to buy a backup duplicate of a good binder once you find one? I hate when my favorite things wear out and I find out that they have been discontinued.
