  1. looking to buy my "first" filofax I had the original one but i didn't like the color. What do you recommend, I'm a college senior applying to medical school.

  2. Buy one that you like the color this time....and make sure you will be comfortable with size of the filofax for your intended use.

    For example, I found Personal size very portable, but paper size was too narrow for me to take meeting notes. The larger A5 size paper works better for me taking notes, but it is larger and bit heavier.

    Another issue is ring diameter size. Some filofax models have larger ring diameter than others, allowing you to put more sheets of paper in it, but will be heavier.

    So, choosing a filofax is about making a series of decisions and tradeoffs that make sense for you and your usage.

    Other issue, but may not be important for you, is material. Various choices available; leather and non-leather.
