Free For All Friday No 611 by Laurie

I talk a lot about how much I love the flexibility of a Filofax. It can be anything I want at the time, and I can change how I use it whenever I want.

Some of the purposes I have for my Filofax binders:

My A5 Filofax that stays on my desk contains my far-future monthly pages, home reference info, work reference info, and finances.

My language-learning Filofax allows me to have categories (vocabulary/ verb tenses/ grammar) that can each expand as they need.

My journaling Filofax lets me break ideas and themes out into their own sections.

My goals book gives me a place to focus on me, with trackers, inspirational quotes, annual and monthly goal declarations in my different roles, and my favorite page in my goals book: My Why.

What about you? Do you have different books for different purposes?

And as always on Fridays, feel free to ask and/ or discuss anything ring-binder organizer related!

  1. Interesting you should speak of separate binders. I have literally just started setting up a recipes planner. I plan to include meal ideas I can reference regularly, and magazine articles with recipes and photos plus cooking technique articles, also a You Tube reference list of chefs and their ideas.I may also add a list of good restaurants and pub/Sunday Lunch venues locally, plus take away places. Things like kitchen equipment articles and suppliers, plus a wishlist will be in there too I expect. Only just started, but hope it will become something useful to dip into over many years. xxxx

  2. Not a separate planner, but with the lack of anything going on in my personal life due to COVID, I've started journaling in my WO2P. Mostly tracking the health and growth of my houseplants and plant propagation.

  3. As you know I use a Quo Vadis Daily 21 for journalling and ring bound for planning. The combination of the two just works fine for me.
I also use Travellers Notebooks for individual projects, especially long term ones where I add information over a long period of time. I can pick up the notebook and add some information and then store it away until it is needed again next time.

  4. I'm currently mainly using a Personal size for planning, so I need something larger for longer notes and project management. I'm currently trying to decide between a half-letter organizer or bound notebook for that.
