I frequently change the organiser I'm using for my A5 inserts.
It often becomes a rediscovery of a card or similar item that I left in the pockets some months before. Sort of 'Oh that's where that went' type of moment.
Do you change organisers with the changing seasons?
Of course it is Friday so please feel free to discuss anything organiser related.

I ordered an A6 cheapo red binder from Amazon to put my existing A6 Christmas plans into. I was so disappointed when it arrived in personal size and not really the red I expected either, more of a burgundy. No worries though as I am using it as a carb count food diary now, being diabetic my GP is always niggling at me about my blood sugar averages. Cheapo enough to fling in a handbag too. I re-jigged my planner putting finances/budget into a separate A6 as that is kinda private anyway and have kept my Christmas section in my planner instead. OKish as I do have Christmas/birthday gift ideas throughout the year. Still would love a red A6 though ideally for my Christmassy plans to be stored separately,so I can glue in magazine cuttings etc too for gift ideas and room decorations especially. I am always looking at lovely trees and aspire to have an elegantly decorated tree one year.My trees always seems to look a bit higgldy oiggledy potch and flung together, even though I take time over it!!! xxxx
ReplyDeleteCan anyone tell me anything about black ring mechanisms? I have a vintage winchester 7/8 with a textured black print - like a smaller more regimented mock croc print - and black rings and would love to more about it. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI’ve seen black rings being used in the late 1980s for certain models aimed to attract more style conscious users. The ribbed vinyl (VR) models had them, as did several other binders in synthetic materials. Not sure if I’ve seen such rings on leather models like yours though.
DeleteHi. I’m fairly new to this and I’m really struggling to find suitable personal sized inserts. Now I know there is a comprehensive selection of inserts available under the files section but a month's worth of effort has convinced me that tech is not my thing. My printer will not play ball properly with my chromebook and the few semi successful attempts were then let down by bad quality guillotines. In essence, diy for me is just not going to happen.
ReplyDeleteMy problem is a love of fountain pens and high gsm paper to write on so my question is this.
Is there anywhere for technophobes to buy personal inserts (I don’t have enough hours in the day to continually refine searches in etsy) with good quality paper, say 90 gsm minimum. Ideally I would like inserts specific for journaling and calendars and diaries that start the week on a Sunday. Again please don’t try to push me towards ‘diy’ as that ship has sailed. But if anyone is familiar with any specific vendors that are inclined to quality and originality, then the hyperlinks would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

ReplyDeleteUnderstand about not wanting to deal with printing inserts. I've tried a few times and felt it was better to just buy them / have them printed.
Not sure where you are located, but here's a few good quality inserts that work well with fountain pens (I mostly write with them) are:
- Time/System (US & German websites)
- HandyForms.com (US company)
- Gillio.be (Belgium company, check their medium size, same as FF Personal)
