Free for All Friday No. 899 by Nan

Having had a rougher cold-and-flu season than usual, I've come to appreciate the utility of my organizer as a medical tracker. Since I'm currently using a 2-page-per-day format, there's plenty of room to track symptoms as well as data such as temperature, blood pressure, etc. This information is very helpful during doctor visits, so I can explain when certain symptoms started and stopped. I can also use the right-hand page to record comments during the visit.

I keep a medication record on a separate page each month. In the past, I kept all medical info in its own tab, but with 2ppd, I can keep everything on daily pages.

As always on Friday, feel free to discuss anything related to your ring-bound organizer!

  1. In the past I always thought I’d remember details like this but found I couldn’t when I needed to.

I have an auto immune disease which can be a bit tricky to manage as everything interplays with everything else so I keep a daily record as the trend helps me to spot what affects what over time.

I have a small section at the back of my planner with grids printed double sided on A5. Each is a year tracker for different things, kept very simple for ticks, crosses and a dash which I colour green, amber and red as I move across each month.

I track whether I’ve eaten well, sleep, headaches, exhaustion, taking my meds, walking/activity and a few other bits and bobs to help me keep track. Any notes needed go into the daily pages so that I can reference back.

It means that I can talk to my doctor in a more informed way too.
