Free for All Friday No. 929 by Nan

A new academic year is approaching in some parts of the world. How do you change your organizer approach to meet your needs as a student or teacher?

- Do you switch to a larger format now that break time is over?

- Do you have a separate academic organizer, or do everything in one?

- Do you use your organizer for taking class notes, or do that separately?

As always on Friday, all organizer-related discussion is welcome!

  1. The UK Filofax website has a new section of "Lifestyle Journals" with 56-page A5 inserts relating to specific topics: Baby - Cookbook - Gardening - Wedding - Life Essentials - Pet.

It seems you can buy just the insert or the insert with your choice of cover which they are suggesting as a gift item.

I'm considering the Life Essentials Journal as it looks to me like a good way to gather the information we should all be leaving in an accessible format for our loved ones in the event we become unable to conduct our own affairs.

These don't seem to be available yet on the Filofax USA or Filofax France sites. Anyone else noticed them?

    1. I am reminded of the 1990 'Garden Manager' insert:

"Garden Manager. A reference guide for gardeners containing information on The Garden Year - what should be planted and when, and jobs to be done; planning - giving advice on designing specific gardens; choosing plants - those best suited to certain types of soil; Gardening Know-How - on planting techniques, pests and diseases, as well as useful addresses.
Leaf size: single. Ref: 130938 (DS110) 16 leaves per pack."

And there's the Ref. 180 Recipe insert...
