Van Der Spek - Custom Planners - ColourBlock

Van Der Spek have been our 'go-to' company for custom made leather organisers/planners. They have been in the business for 100 years this year.

When we discovered them back in 2013 ordering a custom organiser wasn't exactly easy. Over the years it has become a lot easier with the advances to the Van Der Spek website. https://vdsshop.com

For quite a few years you have been able to choose the outside leather, the inside leather and the colour of the stitching inside and out. Also what other options to include such as additional pen loops, full width back pocket etc. (It's quite a long list!) You can still do that of course.

However, recently Van Der Spek have added also a new option called 'ColourBlock' which allows you to select four different leathers for the outside cover and a single leather for the internal cover.

Here are a few samples of planners that they have already made for customers.

The potential of this is huge, I don't know the number of combinations you could have from the available number of leathers, but it potentially means you will have a 'one of one' unique planner.

As you select the different leathers on the website so the illustration of the outside of your planner appears on the screen.

You can choose the inside colour too.

I think you will agree this has a huge potential to create a very unique organiser or planner cover.

Here are a few more examples that I put together.

What colours would you choose?

Thank you to the team at Van der Spek for supplying me with the sample photographs.

Well, the number of permutations (order/arrangement significant...) would be P(n, 5), where n is the number of leather options: n!/(n-5)!
