Diaries for 2026

People seem to get next year's inserts earlier and earlier these days. I printed my 2026 inserts back in June and I've recently ordered and received my journal planner for 2026 a few months earlier than usual.

We have all our inserts available on this page: Diaries 2026

That page also contains hints and tips on printing the files as well as access to our whole archive of source files that you can download and adapt to your own needs.

There is also a post about using the Philofaxy Diary Inserts with the current versions of Office 365

I also did a post about printing A5 inserts that you will find here: Printing Inserts in 2024 and beyond...'

If you get stuck you can either comment below or contact me by email: philofaxy at gmail dot com

Have you got your diary inserts ready yet for 2026?

  1. The last two years, I have bought my planners early, but I still put them away until the last week of December. That is when I sit down and get my new planner ready for the coming year. It’s something I’ve done since I was a kid and one of the best things about that week, so it’s not something I will ever change.

    1. I've just printed an extra month December 2025 so I can try using my 2026 a month early in Personal Size in parallel to my usual A5 !

    2. Hi Steve! Have you already decided on 2 days per page in your personal setup for 2026? There are very few examples online of what it looks like in practice. Is that a good compromise? I always wonder when switching from wo2p to 2dpp really represents an improvement... or in my case, switching from 1dpp to 2dpp. I know, maybe it's just a matter of preference...

    3. Hi Klaus
Yes, for 2026 I'm going to try 2dpp in Personal Size as shown in the photo.

I have been using the Enhanced Time Manager A5 insert for over 10 years and I just fancied a change. The 2dpp insert gives me a similar amount of space each day for my appointments and tasks as the A5 but loses a bit of space of course.

I tested it out earlier in the year, I also tried a Personal Size version of my A5 insert and it just didn't work for me, not enough space each day. Day per page was far too much paper, so 2 days per page seems a good compromise.

    4. Hi Klaus,
I used a 2 days per page A5 calendar for work for years and it’s a great format that I think it one of the best in terms of the trade-off between having enough space to write each day, maintaining an overview of your week, and slimness and portability.

It’s an excellent choice if you want to have a bit more space to jot down notes each day, or you occasionally have more fixed appointments in a day but not enough to warrant a vertical or day to a page layout.

I used to use mine for keeping track of upcoming appointments but then also jot down what I’d spent my time on (in work) each day, so it was both a planner for the future and a log book of the past.

    5. Thanks for your replies, Steve and Sara. Maybe I'll give this format a try. I much prefer Steve's printable inserts with lines to the unlined ones from Filofax. Not to mention the handy task line... we'll see. Wonderful inserts, in any case!

  2. I'm slipping this year. I have only just ordered my 2027 NBPlanner inserts.
