  1. I have a Lyndhurst zipped Filofax, now with a broken zip.

can anyone recommend somewhere to get the zip replaced. Suggestions or experiences more than welcome

  2. I need to organise my life. I've been coasting for far too long. My first ever functional diary was from the Far Side and I loved it. I used to be super organised but now life is a mess. I have so many things doing and no organisation. I'm a children's church teacher,an auditor, parent governor, mother of a gymnast and grandmother and me. I'm trying to invest in a better more accountable me via a filofa. Personal verses A5? Lockwood? Zip no zip, 2 filos or one? Time management inserts or whatever. I need to make a decision ASAP! Please help.

  4. Hi, I am also a new Filofax user and I puzzled over my setup for a while too. My advice is, just pick a binder etc. and start using it. It takes time to find the setup that works for you and I gather that it might change in future anyway. But if you get started, you'll be better organised straight away and you'll be able to tell if you need to tweak anything.

Last month, I got my first filo, in pocket size. I wasn't sure if it would be big enough, but I knew it would easily fit in my handbag. After a few weeks, I realised that the pocket was great for my own organising, but I needed a bigger planner for work - so I got an inexpensive A5 one to keep on my desk. This two-binder system is working well for me, but if I'd stayed in "analysis paralysis" , I'd never have found out.

So, go for it - but initially, stick to the cheaper options :-)
