Recently, I found a very nice Pocket-Filo: vintage and new/unused - can you imagine! It doesn’t have a name, though - on the left, it says „Made in England / Real kid“ - on the strap, there is a stamp „CLC". https://www.flickr.com/photos/89482606@N08/16488179181/in/set-72157650745081785 It is of the old 4 rings-type (15mm) which means that you can use your papers in Personal size as well: easy to carry: Pocket - more content: Personal. I like it because it is quite slim - not as bulky as other Pocket versions. It even takes my iPhone 5s (nice cohabitation of old & new technology :-D ) https://www.flickr.com/photos/89482606@N08/16488933152/in/set-72157650745081785 Now my question: does the community have an idea how old it is?
I’m currently waiting for the shipment of another one of those - with 11mm rings!
The last 'C' suggests it dates from 1993. Note that all future Pocket size leaves will only be punched to fit 6 ring binders. Now is a good time to buy up old stock that is compatible with your 4-ringer!
That's interesting - thanks for the hint...do you have an idea where to look? By the way, I've tweaked a 6hole personal punch by adding a stop (?) for 6hole pocketsize leaves; it doesn't look as clean as the slotted holes but it does the job.
We have been working on cracking the codes in the FB Filofax History group, gmax. The first letter is a location and the second and third are month and year. The mapping is not perfect, but A corresponds to 1991.
I recently bought a Kikki.K planner (A5 size) because I love the girly colors. I know Filofax has recently come out with some pretty prints, but are there any leather planners that look really feminine? I know part of the appeal is it's classic look, but I hope there's something out there for the girl in me who likes fun and whimsy :)
I can't read any of the comments on FFAT today because they are obliterated by some large messages from Flipboard saying "Sorry, we can't find that." (Apologies if someone has already made the same comment.)

DeleteI am intrigued by your date cross-referencing method Tim.
DeleteIs there a system to the letter codes that you have been able to crack?

DeleteSounds like some cunning work by the group there thanks Alan. Well done!
