Free For All Friday No. 369 - Steve

Where is your favourite place to sit with your organiser or your journal and plan out your next day or week, or write up your day?

However,  as this is also Friday you are of course free to discuss anything ring bound organiser related.

Have a great weekend.

  1. Big smiles today. I've tracked down a Cuban A5 in ink. It's my Christmas pressie to myself.

  3. Does anyone own a pocket Kensington? I just bought one today (HOOORRAAAYYY!) and have dug the interwebs with quite a fervor.
The thing is, I have managed to shove my planning- all of my planning, that is- to a pocket sized Finsbury and it actually works! Just... I have cut papers the size of 9 cm´s wide and 14 cm´s tall. It fits quite well in a Finsbury but I have a sneaking suspicion that a Kensington might be a wee narrower. I remember reading Anita´s post about her personal and how the tabs reached the very edge in her binder and I suspect, this might happen just as well in a pocket.
The measurements I am eager to learn about are the dimentions from side- edge to the other and how tall it is. If somebody *coughdoesRhomanystillusehersasawallet?cough* should own one, I would be ever-so -pleased to learn this tidbit. And no, Filowiki could not enlighten me. Unless the Elders of the Internet hated me and hid the information from me.

  5. Now that my Franklin pocket binder stays open on a desk I will probably leave it on my desk for the next year. For portability I will carry a smaller lightweight pocket binder for lists, notes, and projects and use technology for appointments and schedule. I thought about leaving my A5 binder on the desk and carrying my Franklin pocket or a smaller pocket one but it requires designing or buying an A5 insert. The Franklin one is heavy and large even for a pocket binder. I designed my week insert for my Franklin one and made some changes during the process. I do not want to create another set of pages for the A5 binder. Also I do not need some information and details that are in a binder on a desk when I am not there. Now that there is a large equal space on all days on my week pages for the Franklin one I think that the insert will suffice.

  6. I'm new here, and I have been using a thrift store black leather mini Finsbury for over three years as my only organizer. I use a small bright green with a ruby charm Brighton pen in the pen loop. I do not embelish it, putting me in the category of minimalist mini owner. I am often laughed at when I pull it out at work to see if I can work extra shifts. Oh well, I am proud to use it and have only lined pages and one month on two pages calender to keep me organized. Old school works best for me. As far as my favorite place to plan or journal, my favorite place is anywhere, anytime.

  7. My favourite place for reviewing and writing up my planner? Definitely in a cafe with a coffee - probably an espresso. Almost any cafe will do, but probably best of all would be any of the cafes at Canary Wharf in London's Docklands
