  2. What advice do people have about transitioning their professional/corporate lives more into paper (as much as practicable). Who has done it and what did you learn along the way? I work in a very fast paced environment. Keeping everything in sync feels unattainable but here’s an undeniable sense of control and flexibility (inner peace?) from being anchored in the analog world..

    1. I have all my work meetings, tasks, to do lists and schedule written down. even if there is a calendar invite at work I will write it down as there have been times when the enterprise server has malfunctioned and lost my meeting sin the past in various jobs I have worked in. I work in a fast paced operational environment, keeping things written down in my work filofax helps me to ensure i dont forget something i need to do, and can take notes on the fly without having to be logged into the corporate system.

    2. My work diary and correspondence are wholly computerised, but I use an A4 day book for records, notes and ideas, and a slimline Filofax for administrative and "structural" company information. I have also kept reference material in those display hooks with clear plastic sleeves. The physical records are reassuring as you say Michael, and provide another layer to work activity which seems better suited to the long term.
