  1. I enjoy making my own inserts and dividers but I find the original Filofax metal hole punch I have, and the single-hole punch from Rymans, both make holes which seem too big somehow for these smaller formats.

It feels like the holes are so big that the dividers and DIY pages slop around. I do have leather single hole-punches in smaller sizes, which are hardened steel cylinders with a sharp edge, but I don't fancy breaking out the hammer 6 times per page, and I doubt they'd cut paper cleanly enough.

So my question today is, does anyone have a recommendation for punching holes fit those formats with a smaller diameter please?

    1. EK Success 3/16 inch circle punch. Or WRMK Big Bite.

    2. Old Lefax punches sometimes come up on eBay US. These made smaller holes.

  2. Rayher do single-hole punches in 1.5mm, 3mm, 4mm and 6mm. I use the 4mm with good results, it also works well for filofax notebooks if you then snip the holes with a pair of scissors. A bit of a faff but the pages hang better than the originals in the smaller sizes.

  3. If you spot an old Time Manager (TMI) punch on eBay, it will stamp the smaller diameter holes you’re seeking for Personal size.

  5. Hi! Does anyone remember what the Black Friday discount was on the Filofax site last year?

    1. In Britain, 23rd Nov 2022 Filofax UK offered 25% off everything according to my notes (and reminder to check it again this year). I don't know whether other countries had a similarly substantial discount.
