It's great to hear that someone has discovered a Filofax or Lefax via our catalogue archive. It represents many many hours/days of scanning the pages in, but I think you will agree that it is a valuable asset to have.
Thank you to Theresa for sending in the following photos of her Lefax Oval that she picked up at a car boot sale for all of £0.50!!
Three pen loops? Sort of.... pass a pen through all three and that will hold the organiser closed, no need for a clasp and the added bulk.
The rings look in excellent condition.
I'm sure with a bit of leather care TLC this organiser has a lot of years service left in it.

Thank you once again Theresa for sharing the photos with us.
I’ve not seen many LeFax organisers for sale in recent years, but I did buy one to replace the TMI organiser I used for work many years ago. That TMI organiser took up a lot of desk space considering it was a personal size, and the popper on the strap had popped so many times that it no longer fastened, hence the 2nd hand LeFax. The fastening on that is also a popper strap and the TMI inserts just about fit inside, therefore no section tabs but it has large capacity rings.
ReplyDeleteI now have a zip up TMI so inserts and section tabs all fit inside but I’m thinking of removing the zip to use the TMI as a plain book type organiser.
What sort of fasteners do other Philofaxers prefer on their organisers?
What a great find! Lovely organiser.
ReplyDeleteSeems to have lost the 'rolled gold corners' at some point over the years. Though I can't see any evidence of where they were originally fixed.
