  1. It was my birthday recently and my husband bought me a vintage leather organiser from eBay (yay). It is black on outside and grey inside and is personal size. The leather is absolutely gorgeous, it looks brand new but is from a brand I’m struggling to identify. It has a leather symbol on the inside back cover in gold with the initials CG inside, alongside that it says ‘Made in England’. The seller thought it might be Cherry Gambie but wasn’t sure, I’ve never heard of it and Google hasn’t thrown anything up yet.
If anyone is interested it’s easy to find on eBay’s ‘sold’ listings as it’s the only ‘Cherie Gambie’ organiser on there.
The dividers are standard looking ones by sasco, 1987 and 1997 dated. What is lovely is that there are Dilbert notes pages dated 1997 which have a different Dilbert cartoon on each page.
Anyway it’s a beautiful thing, is anyone able to shed any further light? Thanks.

  2. Could it be 'OG', rather than 'CG'? The intertwined characters are ambiguous.

The item in question, I presume: 286259862690

    1. Yes that’s the item. I hadn’t considered OG, that’s a good thought.

    2. Thinking about it, because the letters are inside the leather symbol, it could possibly stand for ‘oiled grain’ rather than a brand. I think it is oiled grain as it’s so soft, it’s softer but similar to touch as a Lockwood.

  3. Since the QR codes came were added to the Personal Cream week on 2 pages inserts I have not used my Filofax which I’ve had for a few decades. I don’t have a printer. I tries a Quo Vadis planner last year and will try a somewhat smaller one for 2026. At least Philofaxy is still here! Congratulations on the anniversary and forming a community for us!

  4. Has anyone actually tried the Filofax app and the QR codes? I had a look at the inserts and I could see it being useful in work, not so much for reminders as for keeping track of important notes and to keep track of a second person when I get a new “helper” in work next year. I’ve got an A5 laying-flat binder that I could use with the A5 inserts.

    1. Before you invest in the inserts with QR codes, may I suggest you download the app and scan the QR codes from the screen examples on the Filofax website so you can see how it works.
Personally I don't like them or the idea of reading in data from paper in to an app.
But try them out for yourself.

    2. Oh, that’s a great idea! I didn’t know you could do that. Thanks!
