The blog was started by 'Philofaxer' on his own just to chart his own discovery of Filofax organisers and how he was using one back then.
Whenever I read the title of that first post 'In the beginning' I always hear the voice of actor Richard Burton and his introduction to 'War of the Worlds' !
A year or so later Nan came along to 'help out' and she kept things ticking over for a few more years on her own. Then along came Laurie and Steve to boost the team. And then Anita and Eve have joined the merry crew!
I don't think any of us thought we would still be writing about organisers 20 years later.
It has of course grown well beyond just a blog... with Meet Ups, Facebook Groups, Diary Inserts, Template Files, Filofax Catalogue Archive, On-line Video Chats, You Tube, Podcasts etc etc. Quite a community to get into.
How would you like us to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Philofaxy? It occurs on the 31st October 2025.
A limited edition of a Filofax Philofaxy? It came in my mind this morning reading the post of the anniversary. I think this is the first comment in all the years i follow this blog and excuse me for any mistakes in the language. English is not my mother language. I do have a question. Some weeks ago Steve mentioned a new layout for the personal. Chansing from A5 to personal. I cannot find the design in the list. Can you please inform me for this. Thank you and have a nice day. Paul
ReplyDeleteI can't see any of us agreeing on size, feaures, materials, colour, etc, for a limited edition binder...
DeleteOk: we each toss our idea in the hat, and Steve pulls out the winning slip!
DeleteCongrats on your first post! Are you talking about this one: https://philofaxy.blogspot.com/2025/06/the-transition-from-a5-filofax-to.html?m=1 I just reread it, and it sounds to me like Steve did not post the actual document that he created. Maybe if you ask nicely, he will. After all, we don't call him at Mr Philofaxy for nothing.
DeleteIt is a slightly modified version of 2.3.2 on our Diary Inserts page. I just added Tasks and the tick boxes to the design for my own use.
DeleteIf you send me an email I can send you the source files that I used for you to have a further play with.
I always followed you... incredible. Thanks
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and happy anniversary! Here's to many more!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! We could celebrate with a collage of pictures. Maybe we, readers, could collaborate with pictures of our own planners, to help create the collage. :) Or a filofax shaped cake could also be an option, of course.
ReplyDeleteA collage is a great idea! I also thought a commemorative “20 years of Philofaxy” logo we can add onto the existing printable files if we want (no re-uploading what is already there!).
