Free For All Friday - No. 876 by Anita

My workload can vary quite a bit depending on different deadlines for my clients, so consequently my brain if a bit fried now after a busier than normal quarter. At times like these, I will adapt how I use my Filofax, and sometimes this will mean that I need more structure or other times I'll just simplify until I'm able to rest more.

Right now, my one non-negotiable action is to write a list of my 'big rocks' for the coming week on either Sunday or Monday morning. I write this on a sticky note and stick it onto my colourful today page marker.

When I have less energy, I use sticky notes more as it helps me feel less overwhelmed at these times (and is also helping me use up my stock!). I've snipped through next to the punched holes, so that I easily remove the page marker and then just focus on the sticky notes there at that moment. My big rocks stay on the front and I then stick any ad hoc lists or brain dumps onto the back of it. Once I feel a bit more recovered, I'll then use sticky notes less and return to using my normal to-do inserts in my Filofax.

Do you change how you use your organiser depending on how much time and/or energy you have?

And as always on Fridays, please feel free to discuss anything organiser related. I hope that you have a great weekend.
