Where Can I Buy?

We often see the question where can I buy a particular model of Filofax, both current, recent or 'vintage' models.

The definition of 'Vintage' seems to vary, the number of years in my personal opinion is greater than 30 years, but your mileage may vary.

What ever the age, where can I buy one?....

Current models, simple answer is https://filofax.com or an on-line store of your choice. Finding an actual shop where you can buy a current model is becoming harder as fewer shops stock Filofax organisers. But try a google search for 'Filofax stockist near me' naturally it will ask to use your location.

Recent models or Vintage models, for recent models that may have disappeared off the official website you might find a local stockist still have stock of that older model.

Also worth checking are TK Maxx, but it varies from town to town as to what gets stocked.

On-Line searches for the particular model/size are more likely to be a better bet in terms of finding what you are looking for.

There is of course 'Adspot' here on Philofaxy. Always worth a look.

If you are on Facebook it is worth looking at one of the many groups, including:

Elsewhere this is of course
  • Ebay
  • Vinted
  • Poshmark

(Google for the sites in your region)

There are other online sales platforms.

Happy Hunting.

  1. As well as TKMaxx Boyes also has cheap Filofaxes, but I think they're a Northern England store only.

  2. Over the years I've had good luck at a secret site that I stumbled upon by accident. It's run by a fly fishing forum, and I use it often. These are well-curated eBay listings.

It may be of interest to those among us who are not interested in Filofaxes of rainbow hue. There is a lot of brown here, and a lot of vintage. About four weeks ago, it led me to a beautiful Hamilton at a very good price.

I recommend sorting by Price high to low.

  3. TK Maxx is great for bargains; been shopping there over twenty years. But it is a clearance outlet, so it's pot luck what you will find, when; models & colours will be random. Filofaxes usually start to appear before Christmas, and are just coming to the last dregs about now.

Weirdly, someone seems to go to the effort to remove all dated diaries from these; this would require significant labour costs, for no benefit, so I canno.
t understand why Filofax would do that (I'm sure TK Maxx wouldn't waste that time...)
This year, I saw Finsbury, Saffiano, Expressions, Domino, Eco, Pastel Spots, and the nicest (and priciest...) the Classic Croc in Personal Compact.

Those last dregs can include real bargains; e.g. Finsbury Pocket for £9, Saffianos for £2.50, Domino for £3, etc.

Of course, you might argue that there are almost no retail outlets that carry a decent range of in-date (i.e. not been sitting on a shelf for years) models & sizes these days, so maybe TK Maxx is as good as it gets...
