I came across this price list in amongst some inserts I was scanning. Sadly no catalogue to go with it, but it is a useful addition even without the catalogue.
It refers to Catalogue 176, which we can assume that it is 1976, cross checking the rate of Value Added Tax at the time seems to confirm that year is correct.

That’s a useful find thanks Steve.
ReplyDeleteI notice the list here is actually dated 178 (January 1978) at the bottom of page 1.
I’ve seen evidence that suggests (unpriced) catalogues were being produced every three years during this period, with associated price lists being issued as and when needed.
Ah that makes sense so it would be more accurate to say this price list is 1978 not 1976.
DeleteYes that’s right. The 1979 catalogue in the archive sits three years after the 1976 one this price lists refers to, and the back referencing is consistent with there being no catalogue in-between.
DeleteThanks Max, I've changed 1976 to 1978!
DeleteWell spotted, Max... It also explains why items are marked as discontinued. I guess a new catalogue wasn't needed so often back then, because the product line hardly ever changed...
DeleteI'll do a formal cross-check against the earlier catalogues later, but at first glance, I don't see anything 'new".
