    1. I suppose the most important question to yourself to ask would be, how much stuff will you need/want to put in your binder. A5 will take a lot of real estate from your bag and desk and will easily get very heavy. However, any A5 will be entirely useless if you won´t have large enough rings put everything necessary in there.
In Filofax site you will see ring sizes, also here on Filofax you can do a search on ring sizes.
Gillio has beyond dreamy leather and fabulous rings, but they are a bit more expensive.
Franclin Covey, I suppose, Has largest rings on the market. I covet one for myself.
Notice also, that the larger the ringsize will enlarge the binder in breadth as well, to accommodate appropriate space for papers.

Good luck and welcome to the dark side! (We have chocolate...)

    2. I meant to write Filofaxy here has a "ring size" search readily available in labels.

  2. I use a slimline Guildford and a pocket Finsbury at the moment which do everything I need. However, I have cravings (that's not too strong a word) for a plum Osterley and a pocket Guildford, which I don't need. Is this natural? Haha

  3. Thank you to everyone on this site who freely share ideas and resources. Being able to print beautiful sheets has opened up a whole new world, and I appreciate the time spent in designing these forms is extensive.

  4. Where have all the Domino's Gone to...are they going to be discontinued - eventually ? To me they are very very popular and were well received. I fought getting one at first because of the elastic cord...just didn't seem durable, but I've had great success with mine retaining its' hold/secure-ness on my FF....Question: Are they being discontinued...will there be a resurgence at least Stateside ? Ive been hunting for a Domino in Brown/Orange since forever and alas (nothing unless I go to lands far and away!) Even purchasing from FF suppliers, I'm seeing very few and only Black/Red and at discounted prices. Will we see these sturdy beauties disappear ?
I'd love to hear from those in the know (hint hint Steve (lol!) yes you and/or thoughts on this ? What do you think of the Domino, they've been out for a while...do you say yea or nay to them ?

    1. Hi
The Domino is not being discontinued the colours might change of course as each year passes and there might be a change in the style in the future. As there has been with other models.

My usual advice to everyone. If you like it... buy it. You never know when the stock levels are going to drop to zero or that colour is no longer going to be available.
      Steve

  5. I have the cotton cream week on two pages for 2014 for my Compact Luxe. I decided to also buy a Franklin Covey Wo2P insert to see which one I would use. I bought it along with the FC hole punch which is great. I trimmed and punched the pages and it did not take a very long time but I don't think I would try that with daily pages. I won't be using daily pages next year anyway. I used them for a short time this year and decided to stick with Wo2P. I think that I can use my FC hole punch to punch A5 size inserts because the space between hole 1 and 2 and 2 and 3 is the same as on the personal insert. I will have to punch one set of 3 holes and then punch the other set if that is true.

  6. In case others are looking for storage binders for their mini pages...
I decided to switch to a Mini FF several months ago. It has worked out better than I expected -- but I then found out that there are no mini storage binders. I considered boxes, rubber bands, spare mini binders (rings are too small), rings (too unwieldy), treasury tags (hard to find and not "flexible" e.g. has to be a certain size for certain thickness), 2 prongs file fasteners (did not match mini holes), etc... then I saw these brass fasteners:
    http://www.amazon.com/School-Smart-Brass-Plated-Fasteners/dp/B003U6TT7Q
The 1+1/2 inch capacity was too wide to go through the mini holes without cutting/widening them, but the 1 inch and the 1/2 inch fit fine. There are even washers for the fasteners if you want a more polished look.
I cut down a manilla file folder for a cover and used 2 of the fasteners --- and, yay, a storage binder for my mini pages.
