Free For All Friday No 512 by Laurie

I hope I don't jinx myself by writing this, but I am currently experiencing more planner peace than I have in years! I have settled into a system, and everything is working well. This is fairly miraculous for me!

As long as I don't allow myself to get sidetracked by planner temptation, I think this system should tick along very well throughout the year.

Are you experiencing planner peace? Or are you tweaking your system?

As always on Fridays, feel free to ask and/ or discuss anything ring binder organizer related!

  1. Hi Laurie, Don’t hate me but now you know you need to describe your system that has finally found you planner peace!!! ;-). I sort of found mine between my personal carry around planner and my A5 which stays home... how I use both simultaneously. HOWEVER, the notes section in my personal planner is a real mess and the contacts/passwords need to be updated. My first wedding anniversary is coming up on Oct. 2 and the traditional gift is paper so I have no excuse but to clean up my mess! ;-)

    2. Michele I'm so sorry for my late reply! I will describe my planner setup.

I'm using custom weekly pages (here, scroll sideways to number 3/5: https://agendio.com/referrals-welcome/AjtHDD_1527859172 ) I'm also using the Philofaxy free printable Month On Two Pages: https://philofaxy.com/inserts/MonthView/preview4.png I don't print these back to back, so the back sides of the pages are blank (you can also use the With Notes version which has lines on the back sides of the pages). Between the monthly pages I put pages pertaining to that month, for example planning my son's birthday party or planning for trips/ holidays.

I also use the Philofaxy Month Per Page inserts ( https://philofaxy.com/inserts/MonthView/preview2.png ) for planning blog posts, details in this post: https://philofaxy.blogspot.com/2018/07/free-for-all-friday-no-503-by-laurie.html

I also have a Financial section where I track upcoming expenses so I don't get surprised/ can save up for them. (wrote about here: https://philofaxy.blogspot.com/2018/06/free-for-all-friday-no-498-by-laurie.html )

I love having everything in one binder!

  2. The custom set up I've been using has been working for me for over a year, which is saying something considering for the 3 years prior I was changing set ups and systems every couple of months.

  3. Fairly content with my setup overall. Went back to A5 a few months ago in order to get page size that is adequate for notetaking and easier to keep calendar/diary pages neat and easy to read. Same divider setup per GTD as used for several years now.

Inserts are Time/system which are so nice and clean looking plus great with fountain pens.

Binder is recently received vdS Custom with Janet leather outer, Brandy Italian inner, and 35mm gold rings.

Doesn't get any better than this...

    :)

  4. Hi Laurie, planner peace is such a unicorn for me! I do not think I will ever get there. I am currently using an A5 purple Malden Filofax for work notes and events, and an A5 Hobonichi Techo Cousin in a leather cover as my every day carry. I also have information in Little Purple my purple personal sized Malden. I have just ordered the 2019 Hobonichi A5 couisn and the A6 planner and bought month calendar pages for my A5 work filofax. so I hope I stay with this set up given I just bought these.
