What is so special about 'Italian Leather' to make it a selling point? Once upon a time special books were 'Morocco Bound'. Other countries produce leather too.
ReplyDeleteI think it may be to do with traditional local tanning processes, but the techniques involved are not unique to Italy or necessarily universally applied there.
DeleteI recently bought an older four ring Filofax from eBay (less than a fiver for kid leather - bargain), now I make my own inserts so can punch holes wherever I want to but I was wondering if anybody else still uses a four ring organiser and what do they do for inserts? Does anyone still supply four hole inserts?
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good buy Lil. For a while the six hole pocket inserts used to have elongated slots for holes 1,2, 5 & 6 so that they would still fit into the older four ring binders. A standard personal punch can be used to enlarge those same holes in the modern inserts which lack the slots.
