  1. Just realised that the budget lined personal insert bought at WHSmith is a refill pad that fits into the mesh pocket at the back. It has twin benefits of being ready source of paper for insertion into the main section but also lifts the last pages in the filofax up and away from the rings making them nicer to write on.

What other little tricks have I been missing?

Also, I wrote about attaching a second pen to the top of my Filofax further down in this post:

  2. Loving these hacks! Thanks folks. My hack is, I buy Statology thin stick tabs, long thin sticky note rectangles, to stick over my current date on the side of my A6 weeklies. So.... when I open my planner, I can instantly see today's date and to the side appointments. I get them from Cult Pens UK, but am sure there are other suppliers out there. They are thin enough not to obscure the column, but vibrant enough to instantly have my eye drawn there.

  3. I'm looking for a way to use the credit card slots in the front of my personal metropol. I have a wallet for credit cards and I don't use business cards. They seem a wasted feature.

Anyone got a hack to make card slots useful?

    1. I've had that exact problem for a while. Just this morning, I cut down a couple of 3x5 cards to fit in the left most slot in my personal Finsbury. The top one is holding paper clips and page points, and the bottom one has about a half dozen post-it notes stuck to it. I think I will find this very handy.

  4. That's at least a good use for them. I've not managed to think of any. Might use that idea somehow to hold post it page markers. There's always a use for the most pointless of features.
