Wishing you a happy New Year from Steve, Nan, Laurie and Anita!

As we enter into a new year, I've been thinking again about my Filofax new year's resolutions and this is what I've decided on so far:

  • Read the Bullet Journal Method book - I bought it months ago, but haven't gotten around to reading it yet and it feels like a great book for a new year
  • Set my A5 Belgravia up using the bullet journal method for work (post to come about the Belgravia and my set up) - I've already been using the daily log and a couple of custom collections for training in my new job
  • Use up the supplies that I have
  • To not buy any more binders and sell/donate any not currently in use
  • Post more regularly on Philofaxy
  • Schedule in a regular weekly review to help me keep my binders up to date, especially now that I'm using one for work
  • To do an end of year review - I've done this for some years now and always find it useful.
Do you set any planner new year's resolutions?

In preparation for the new year, I'll be sitting down this afternoon to empty my Kensington, put back the essentials, process any old notes and update my lists and project information.

And as always on Fridays, please feel free to discuss anything ring bound organiser related.
Hope that you have a great weekend and wishing you all the best for 2021.

  1. I long for something fresh and new, yet have kept to my planner set up as it is working so well for now. Any modxxifications/tweaks folks have made for 2021? I'd love to know!!

    1. Hi Butanben, how about something new like dividers or a dashboard? I rarely change my set up, but do find that a change in how it looks can make quite a difference too.

    2. I have decided to freshen up my planner a bit. My system is working well for me, but plain card stock dividers are very boring. I am not into decorating my planner, but I do like photography. I have ordered some calendar dividers printed with photos on them and a dashboard with a photo that reminds me that it is January. I am hoping that it will inspire me to figure out a way to print my own photos as dividers.

  2. Hi Anita, I love your first two bullets above. As a ring planner user for 20+ years I use the bullet journal method in my ring binders by incorporating my daily log. The Bullet Journal Method is such a great book - it's not a "how to plan" book but more into introspection - thinking about what's important to focus on both at morning and evening - without the electronics.

    1. Hi Michele, thanks & I've been meaning to try incorporating a bullet journal with rings for a while. Thanks for more info about the book & I really enjoyed the little bit that I had started to read.
