Within about five years, the Smart Phone started to become common sight, seeing someone without a Smart Phone is now a rare sight! Such is progress I guess.
Business people though still seem to like using larger planners and notebooks when on appointments or meeting clients. It isn't unusual to see an A4 or A5 notebook or planner.
At the start of my French class the other week, I thought I saw a Filofax organiser on the desk in front of another pupil on the far side of the room. I was just retrieving one of my Philofaxy business cards from my wallet when the pupil un-clipped the clasp only to reveal a Smart Phone!! Drat!! It was a case that looked like a Filofax from the distance I was across the room.... Oh well never mind!
Have you seen any other Filofax users 'in the wild' recently?
Of course it is Friday so please feel free to discuss anything Filofax related. Have a good weekend.
That was a close call! Hopefully, one day you will find a Filofax in use. Perhaps we should become like birdwatchers, seeking out and ticking off rare birds on a list, when we spot a Filofax being used?
ReplyDeleteThe bookkeeper at work users a pocket filofax at work. She says her life is in it! I can understand that what with all the businesses she looks after, time management and all those passwords for the various systems she needs to access.
ReplyDeleteThis leads me to wonder what is the smallest practical size for work use. I have a personal filofax but IMHO it's too small for my work needs. I use an A4 notebook due to all the notes and analogue calculations I need to do at work.
What is the smallest filofax size you can reasonably use for work?
I guess it depends on the job and the amount of information needed. Personal size is alright for me. And since I do a lot of meetings outside of my office, something I can carry easily is perfect. Of course, I need to change the inserts more often than if I had a bigger one, but I' okay with that.
