Free For All Tuesday No. 185

Tuesdays are your chance to ask any Filofax related questions you might have.

Even if it is not Tuesday, you can still post your questions here, just pick the most recent FFAT or FFAF.

So fire away and we will collectively try to answer your questions or offer opinions.

  1. Shall I definitely shelve my dreams of a copper Original because they have been cancelled, or they will be eventually released later in the year?

    1. Hi Christine, Have you watched the videos that are on the Diary Inserts page, these might give you a few clues. There's not much you have to do other than set the start date. But make sure you are using the right pair of Word and Excel files together.

  3. I have recently left my full time staff job to become and independent consultant. The change is quite daunting, and I would be grateful if anyone in a similar position would share any organisational techniques they have learned. I have always had two separate systems as I was forced to use systems in the office, and then used something separate for home. Now my personal and professional lives are tangled together. For those of you who work for yourselves do you have one system which has personal and professional to-dos etc in it, or do you keep separate systems? Many thanks!

    1. I would think David P would be the ideal person to speak with. Or take a look at his recent guest posts on here.

    2. Hi Nellie

I am a sole practitioner accountant running my own practice from home, and working with a Personal Hampstead as my only organiser.

If you would like to email me off-list I'll be glad to try to help, but as Steve says it's probably best to first look at my two guest posts:-

I look forward to hearing from you

    3. Hi David, sorry for the delay in replying, I have been offline for a few days. It would be great to chat about how you manage your business alongside the other parts of your life. I don't have an email address for you. I'll have a go at contacting you via Google+, but I have never used it. Speak soon!

  4. Hi there Philofaxy peeps,
I use an A5, but want to keep a close track of my finances and when items are due to be paid and come out of my account. I don't mind using an A4 and folding. What do folks who keep track of home finances use?? I really am heaps better at the don't spend in the first place, but don't want to lose track of my bills. Thanks in advance... TIA. Jane. xxxx
