For the love of paper planning
Hi everyone. Hope you had a great Christmas and that your New Year is fabulous. I am looking for reviews on the DIYfish day on two pages inserts - I would love to hear what experienced Philofaxy organisers think of them. Thanks in advance.
Many thanks Steve, may I enter something un connected about which I must commentIn view of the New Year approaching I sent for the diary refill, lined in Personal size. I have to say that I was extremely disappointed putting it mildly to say the least to see the top line absent. There are now eight lines now instead of the usual nine. The months are now in a regular Ariel type font (approx) and smaller which replaces the larger Times New Roman in Bold. The days of the week are in a similar Ariel ? feint type font, the dates very small are enclosed in a circle why? is this intended to make it easier to read at a glance, it most certainly is not .Oh dear Filofax! this is most definitely not an improvement you must revert to the layout of the previous years. This won’t do, it will certainly not do at all. Here endeth my rant. To conclude may I wish all Philofaxers A Happy and Peaceful New Year.
I have already complained to Filofax about the size of the dates as I am struggling to read them. I have cataracts, but I can't be the only person with poor eyesight struggling to work out what date I am looking at. I have had to give up using my Personal sized Filofaxes, and even the A5 is a struggle. Last year's days were on but the 2016 dates are illegible!
I have received an acknowledgement from Filofax to the effect they have passed on my complaint to the Production Team. I await their response with much interest.
Anthony I wouldn't expect anything to change quickly, the inserts are designed years in advance and the printing plates manufactured at least 18 months ahead. For example, I already have 2017 Filofax personal size weekly pages, and they are the same style as the 2016's. Because everything is done so far in advance, I wouldn't expect any changes to take place sooner than 2018. Just FYI.
