At some future date, would it be possible for you and Ray to do a tutorial, explaining how you set up a template in MS Word/Excel to design and print back to back inserts? I realise that Ray has his own system, which produces a very neat result, but I'm sure that many Philofaxy followers would appreciate such a tutorial, when time allows you to do so.
Hi Steve Have you looked at the existing videos on the Diary Inserts Page where we explain how to edit the existing files and merge them to create a new one?
Or do you want something more detailed than those? If that is the case we would need to think a bit harder about it because it could be an extremely long video. Or one in many parts.
Yes I have looked at those, Steve. What I was trying to get at was how you start out with your blank Word page, set margins, position the boxes/charts on the page, so that they print accurately back to back. I have had a go myself, as you know, but they don't print accurately in the way that yours and Ray's do.
Hi there! Begging your forgiveness if I'm doing this incorrectly on FFAT :/ but I'm wondering if you (or anyone) may have advice for an aspiring Filofax owner :). I'm just getting into Filofax and have watched tons of videos (not to mention read through posts on Philofaxy!). I have decided that I want to purchase a personal size which will also function as a wallet. Right now, I'm leaning towards either a Nappa or a Pennybridge (for zipped options), OR a Malden or a Lockwood (for clasp options). Most of the posts I've seen regarding this are either a few years old, or recommend organizers that are no longer available anymore. Thank you in advance for any advice you are able to provide! Have a happy Tuesday :).
Hi, I have been thinking about this myself. A wallet plus satellite planner or notebook. So far, in my blog reading research, I am thinking Gillio Mia Cara. Either personal or pocket size, not sure yet.
Based on this: https://randompastimes.wordpress.com/2016/10/31/my-gilliogigliodoro-pocket-mia-cara/
I like the idea of the separate ring binder from the wallet cover, so I can slim down the wallet if needed.
Steve's post here pointed me to pocket size organisers with full width back pockets:

ReplyDeleteAh ok that would be a bit easier. Just a general tutorial on setting up a template file and preparing it for printing

Best of luck with your search.
Post back and let me know if/when you get one. I would love to hear which one you choose.
