London Meet Up - September 2017

I am planning a visit to London in September.

This event is open to everyone, there are no qualifying requirements... if you enjoy good company and you like organisers of any brand then you will be very welcome and you will be amongst friends.

London - Saturday 30th September 2017

So this is a 'calling notice' for people who would like to attend the Philofaxy Meet Up in London

Please read all of the post before you apply for a place on the meet up.

When and Where

We will meet initially at 12 noon at Vapiano in Great Portland Street. This is not far from Oxford Circus underground station.

We have visited this venue before.  They have a great ordering system which uses a smart card to record the items you order from the bar or food counter. When you pay the bill you will only be paying for the items you ordered and there's no additional service charge. Because of the flexibility on their ordering and payment system, you will be able to easily pay with cash or card. If you are slightly late it won't be quite so critical.

You can read all about the restaurant on their website here

During the meal there will be plenty of time for chatting and sharing Filofax organisers...

Our meet up will finish at about 5:30pm

How to book a place on the meet up

To get a place on the meet up you need to email: steve[at]philofaxy[dot]com and mark your email 'September 2017 London Meetup', you can book a place straight away.

As places are allocated you will receive an email back again confirming your place on the meet up.

Please do not book travel tickets etc until you have a confirmed place. I will attempt to confirm places within 2-3 hours of receiving your email.

Additional Information

If you aren't familiar with London or how to get to Vapiano from the station you are arriving at then use the Transport for London Journey Planner, it's generally quite good.

Once we have our full list of people, we will exchange email addresses and if you aren't familiar with London you might be able to get someone to meet you at the station you are arriving at.

Your safety on the day and your enjoyment on the day is of paramount importance to me, so don't be afraid to ask any questions by email, I want everyone who attends to get the most from the day.

Thank you... any questions?

  1. Hi Steve...would have loved to have come along...but we're in London the previous and following weekends - not sure I can cope with three trips from Cornwall in succession! Hope you have a lovely meet up and would love to come along again one day...

    1. Yes that would be asking a bit much to travel three weekends in a row! Well we can look forward to seeing each other in Brussels at PlannerCon instead.

I will be back in UK no doubt in 2018 at some time.

  2. Oh this is good. As a planner novice, it will be good for me to meet other planner enthusiasts. Would you be recording a special podcast episode?

    1. Not at the venue as it is generally quite noisy. But I might try to capture some short quotes from people.

  3. Being nosey now!! In the planner stack photo what is the pinky reddish planner on the far right next to he sage green ostrich planner? It's a stunning colour and stunning looking binder!! Size, make and colour please if you'd be so kind. Rather in awe of this one!! xx
