I hope this is allowed here, it is planner related, but at a tangen. Was wondering what kind of bags do you use to carry your planners around in on the go? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI'm still using my 'Man Bag' which is a camera bag in disguise! These are great because they have ample pockets, you can buy them in incremental sizes so you don't have to have something that is massive. They are padded and have a soft lining which is leather friendly. You can get them with movable dividers too.
DeleteI have a double sectioned backpack purse. One section is just for my planner. I bought my first one off Amazon and will provide a link if you're interested. The latest round of backpack purses being offered in stores have had 2 sections, so my collection has grown! Love me a backpack purse!
DeleteI use Tom Bihn bags. They have a fan forum like philofaxy with lots of user photos and info. You can't go wrong with a Tom Bihn bag. I use a Synapse 19 backpack or a Maker's bag messenger style bag. They come with o-rings to tether pouches to, so nothing important gets lost.
DeleteTom Bihn bags are very good, but quite expensive to buy here in Europe because you have to import them and they are then subject to import duty and other taxes on top of the retail price and shipping costs! Likewise Timbuk2 bags, although a limited selection of ready made ones are now available on Amazon in Europe. If you want to go the custom route it works out quite expensive.
DeleteRecently I've looked at Knomo Bags they have shops in London.
But I have to admit that bags like organisers are a bit of a weakness of mine!! Too many!!
I use a leather Knomo Organiser to hold my “every day carry”. iPhone battery pack, cables, earphones, business cards, reading glasses any paperwork and Filofax Pocket Slim organiser. Tim
DeleteI'm currently using my Fossil laptop bag, which is a perfect size to carry my essentials, book, lunch & planner. It doesn't have separate sections, but has an outside pocket so that my keys are not anywhere near my planner.
ReplyDeleteHi Steve and others :o) I haven't been here for ages. Hope you all are good and well. I`ve opened Filofax website today and found this new EST.1921 collection. Any insides about this? They all look absolutely stunning. Any reviews coming soon Steve? :o]
ReplyDeleteYes I'm aware of these new releases, they have been on sale in Japan for at least two years. And they will now be made available elsewhere.
DeleteI will of course review one if and when I can get my hands on one.
I use a leather briefcase:

Very good quality for the price and you can find this for about $150 USD.
Have had mine for about 5 years and still looks and works great.
Besides two outer pockets, has two inner large compartments on front side and and other large compartment on back side.
Makes it easy to keep items organized and find too.
Thank you all ever so much for the bag suggestions. So totally useful, and I am grateful for your replies. I will look into all of these. Apologies for the typo in my original comment, which was meant to read tangent. xx
