Free for All Friday No. 612

Once you've decided on a diary or organizing system, how long does it usually last before you make a change? I'm not talking about your organizer or binder; I'm talking about what's inside it...your day-per-page or month-per-page calendar, your notetaking system, your custom forms , and so on. 3 months? 6 months? Days? (It happens.) Of course, since it's Friday, all discussion of ring-bound organizers is welcome!

  1. Hello,
I change my stuff inside quite a bit. I am trying new systems but I always have a monthly calendar and a day per page sometimes 2 days per page. I have been trying weekly planning to see if it helps. In my job and family stuff I need to keep an accurate daily log and keep my appointments and deadlines straight.

My question - I bought this beautiful A4 binder from the lovely Petra at Van Der Spek. Its It's absolutely stunning. It was a present to myself and my first order from Petra. Its Sakura croco leather outside and TM Parme inside. Petra put rings in an A4 writing case and added rings and a tab for me. But, I don't know who sells good A4 inserts. It seems like filofax has quit making them. I can make my own but don't always have time to do so.

I still haven't been able to actually use the binder, I am afraid to take it to court since covid. Plus, it's so beautiful I am having a hard time using it.

  2. I found these A4 inserts on the Filofax UK site. They're on sale for 2020 and are also available for 2021. https://uk.filofax.com/organisers/organiser-diary-refills.html?size_filter=195
Agendio.com prints great inserts and you can customize them to your liking. Another option would be printing the Philofaxy A4 inserts. If your printer can handle double sided printing it's a breeze.

    1. I found them. Thank you so much! They were not listed on the American website. I am going to check out the Agendio inserts as well. The customisation options sound great. Thanks!

  3. The Philofaxy inserts don't take that long to print, and peanuts planner co are fabulous printables, it's the writing it up that takes me forever and a day!!! What a shame Filofax have stopped doing A4 sized inserts. I'd get a cover for it personally, as my Rosa Croco A6 got a weeny indent and I don't know from where. I rest mine on a cover nowadays. Your colour combo sounds divine!! Enjoy it, that's what life is about. There is no saving for best as that day never arrives I find. xx

    1. Thank you for the excellent idea. I hadn't thought of using a cover to help keep my binder nice. You're completely right the perfect time to use something never comes and I got her to use and enjoy. So that's what I am going to do. We will both get a few bumps and bruises along the way but that just shows we lived. Thanks
