Free For All Friday - No 641 by Steve

The continuing COVID-19 outbreaks have I'm sure made us all more aware of our own health and healthcare.

Do you have a section or some pages you dedicate to your own health or healthcare records in your organiser?

If you do what sort of details do you record in there?

Of course it is Friday so please feel free to discuss anything else organiser related.

Take care, stay safe and have a good weekend.

  1. Question: does anyone use GTD across multiple planners? I have a personal (diary and projects, lists etc) but also an A5 that I use for work. I frequently use the notes section on my phone as my inbox and then transcribe them to the appropriate place. Has anyone else made this work or is using a similar system?

    1. It makes absolutely sense to me to use across multiple planners. I want to get systematic with GTD and I am planning to implement it to the whole my multiple planners system.

  5. I keep a list of my meds, dosagees and times of day taken. I also keep a similar OTC over the counter meds and vitamins list. It was jolly useful for medics when I was ambulanced in last year with a compound ankle fracture. They also used my ICE in case of emergency card with GP next of kin NHS number etc on it. They praised my organization but also said that years since they'd seen a Filofax!!! I also keep a running list of when unwell and dates doctors seen, jab dates etc. The same for dad who has dementia. Hydration, insulin and exercise go on my daily pages. I find that better than trackers for me, less of a sense of fail when I don't reach goals the!!!

  6. I have a section that is labeled health, that I write things like the last time I got my flu shot, certain procedures or tests etc. I also have another section called Walter, where I write his immunizations and tests as well along with his vet info and chip info. Luckily mostly what these two sections have is information for doctors or vets and insurance contacts.

  8. Thanks Steve! And to the question about medical information in my organizer - My husband and I take our blood pressure every morning. I have a Filofax Vertical Year Planner insert for each of us that I use to write down our readings on each day. This stays in my organizer all of the time so that I have it when either of us goes to the doctor. I also keep a list for each of us of medication information. I made it as a spreadsheet and printed it on pre-punched A5 paper. I like the idea of keeping a vaccination record. I will have to start that.

  9. I have never in my life thought that I would spend whole days, literally whole days, sitting on a computer as I have been doing now with remote learning and remote teaching. I have in my mind the intention to become systhematic with my health care and, of course, it means having a detailed section in my planner for it. What has been 'delaying' - rather than stopping - me is the time factor. It will happen. It is needed.
