Do you use a Filofax as a wallet? Ring-bound organizers can hold a lot more than just paper: plastic holders for credit cards, business cards, photos, receipts, and cash. They often have lots of pockets inside the covers to hold things as well.
You can have a hybrid organizer-wallet, where you have your calendar and notes along with credit cards and other necessities. Or you can have an organizer that's just for carrying daily needs, as I'm doing now. It can get bulky, but I always have whatever I need.
Of course, since it's Friday, all organizer-related discussion is welcome!
I don't currently do this, but I used to use a Mini as my wallet. It worked beautifully, and I think I need to find another one and start over.
ReplyDeleteI've done this on the past, but I stopped because the additional bulk and weight, especially if I included coins, we have 1€ and 2€ coins in regular use and they are quite large and heavy! Even in my wallet I don't carry coins any more. I keep them in a different coin wallet that balances things out a bit.
ReplyDeleteSome years ago, I also used a mini as combined wallet & diary, but stopped using it as I found that the mini pages were too small for me. I will use my Filofax as a wallet, but only on specific occasions, like when I'm on holiday or whilst on a day out (been a while though due to COVID).
ReplyDeleteI used to! It was handy with credit card sleeve inserts for all the shopper’s cards (pre-Apple wallet days) and my shopping lists/project notes/dr notes were so conveniently there.
ReplyDeleteYes. I use a holborn personal. The pockets make great cash envelopes for the categories I use most often and then I add cash envelopes to rings. Lots of card slots for all those membership cards
ReplyDeleteI'm using a pocket croc. This is the main reason (to combine agenda and wallet) that I downsized from personal to pocket. And... I love it.
ReplyDeleteI use a pocket Balmoral as my wallet. Other than cards, bills, and coins, it just has monthly calendars and some lined pages for quick notes. That's all I take with me now when I'm doing short runs around town.
