Filofax binders are usually locked by rubber loops or snap fasteners. An exception seemed to be the Scanda whose fake belt loop keeps the binder closed merely by friction, given the missing belt buckle.
That’s what I thought … until a metallic paper clip surprisingly overcame gravity and clinged to my Scanda. A kind of magic?
No. Scrutiny unveiled that the Scanda is not magic but magnetic. Two flat magnets are well concealed, one under the notch of the binder’s front cover and the other within the belt loop. These magnets attract each other and hold the belt loop in place, a well thought out (and unique?) feature that - to the best of my knowledge - appeared overlooked so far.

Thank you for your post Jürgen, I wasn't aware of this 'design feature' I'm surprised more organisers don't have this sort of closure. Do you know of others?
