Is it too early to start thinking about getting your diary inserts ready yet for 2025?
I know they have been on sale for sometime and we have had diary inserts for 2025 and 2026 available here on Philofaxy since last year!
Have you decided what size and format to use for next year yet?
Of course it is Friday so please feel free to discuss anything else related to organisers of any brand.
Funnily enough I was just looking into these as I needed a midyear diary and I've seen the Filofax diaries now all have a QR code on each day for syncing with their app. Personally I think this is an awful idea - first their app is not terribly impressive but second and most importantly how this will date dreadfully. I keep all my diaries permanently so I can go back 35+ years and I really don't what them with mid-2020s artifacts on them that one day no one will ever remember what they were for.

DeleteWith so many people using their phones for planning, what's the long-term prospect for Filofax? I love the organizer and hope it's around a long time but the company does need to turn a profit.
ReplyDeletenot just the rise of the totally-unsuitable block of plastic as a planner, but also competition form manufacturers making much better quality binders, catering to a market who are willing to pay for them, plus a host of insert designers and sellers. I fear the writing could be on the wall for Filofax if they don't start listening to their audience
DeleteYes, count me among those who are already thinking about 2025 inserts. I have used a half-letter discbound planner for work for over a decade - and I get custom inserts from Agendio for that planner. However, I only started using Filofax for personal planning this year, despite being a Philofaxy reader for about 15 years! Anyway, while I’ve been using the default 2024 inserts that came with my new Filofax organizers, I want to branch out for 2025. And I definitely do not want QR codes on my pages! I agree with Kevin that this change by Filofax isn’t going to age well. And rather than ordering custom inserts from Filofax just to avoid the QR code, I will simply get my inserts elsewhere. I expect many others will do the same, as I have yet to see any groundswell of support for the adoption of the app. This certainly cannot be good for Filofax’s bottom line.
ReplyDeleteAdding my definite NO to QR coded inserts (do Filofax NEVER listen to their audience?), I've already pre-ordered my 2025 A5 yearly overviews, quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily inserts for next year. For the second year running I've gone for layouts from 8Lotus.com. Great customer service and the layouts really suit my style.
