  1. I'm new to the ring binder world, having used bound journals for many years. I'm still figuring out what works, trying to use the system for personal writing and to-do lists. I keep my calendar items electronically; traditional planner set ups aren't needed. Many thanks to the Philofaxy community for always having such new and novel ideas to share.

  2. Looking for Malden and can see that Amazon have them in burgundy?? Not seen that before as very similar to the old crimson plus they have a partial elastic loop so guessing they’re fake? They link to the Filofax store though but seems odd?

    1. That's no fake, you can buy it for example on the German Filofax site. I am very happy that finally, the Malden got an elasticised penloop.

  3. To all those Filofax aficionados - I am thoroughly enjoying dipping my toes for the first time into the world of ring organisers. I have ordered a mini Finchley and a pocket Kensington and am on the lookout for a personal or A5 size as a 'stay on my desk only' final purchase. I don't particularly need the credit card slots - are there any soft leather filofaxes in existence that don't have the slots but have full length pockets instead? Thank you in advance, Rebecca

    1. I might have a look on ebay for some vintage binders; there are a couple of 2MLF (simple slip pockets in either side, Moroccan leather) 7/8" rings for very reasonable prices at the moment, and look in good condition. There's even a 0CLF (no pockets at all, calf leather) 7/8" rings.

      (not my ebay items...)

      Kevin.

    1. I'm very interested to see how similar the new burgundy Malden is to the iconic crimson Malden. Does anyone already have an idea?

    2. It seems a little bit darker than the crimson one and looks like a slightly dark cherry red.

    3. Right, it was released starting this week on Monday and I am wondering why it is not available via Filofax UK.

  5. Yes, the burgundy Malden is already available and I am very happy because I was hoping there would be a red colour again. Now they should release the Holborn in a colour like that.:-)

  6. So glad to hear the burgundy is not a fake. It looks beautiful and just as I was losing faith with ring-bound planners this little temptress and her elasticated pen loop has come into my life. I may need to hide the credit card - Carrie
